Modern LCD tv’s use LED as light source for the backlight. To power and control the LED backlight a dedicated driver is necessary to achieve a high-quality picture. Specifically designed for 32”and 40” LCD panels with edge lit technology this driver enables high accuracy dimming in the range of 100Hz to 250Hz. In total 4 LED strings can be driven by the precise PWM controlled current sources.
